Aggtelek is the artistic project of Xandro Vallès (Barcelona 1978) and Gema Perales (Barcelona 1982). They live and work between Barcelona and Brussels. Their work is interested in creative processes and the dissolution of artistic categories and their formats. All this is formalized in a variety of disciplines -performance, video, text, sculpture or installation- from which they analyze and represent concepts around the creative from a vital dynamic.

Vallès and Perales are interested in provoking new readings around the artistic work and its possible representation. The work methodology arises from a constant dialogue that questions the role of art, the role of the artist and the consequences of creativity itself, playing with the limits of political correctness through a humorous critique of the human condition.

His work has been shown in art galleries, museums, biennials and art fairs around the world, in cities like Berlin, Miami, Valencia, Mexico City, London, Frankfurt, Madrid, Valencia or Barcelona, in museums like Moca (Los Angeles), Tàpies Foundation (Barcelona), Stedelijk Museum Het Domein (Sittard) and have been in art fairs like Liste (Basel), Maco (Mexico DF), Shangart (Shanghai), Artebo (Bogota), Arco (Madrid), among others.
