Amnesia Colonial is a set of several audiovisual pieces that gather different cultural practices and social spaces in which the contemporary "oblivion" towards the colonial legacy is manifested, but in which at the same time a reactivated and alive colonial order is discovered.

Amnesia colonial (avenencia) is an archive of videos made by tourists in Cuba. In this material, downloaded from YouTube between 2012 and 2020, common vacation practices on the island are exhibited, constituting the stereotypical gaze of those who record and the hierarchies of power that are established. Amnesia colonial (avenencia) proposes a reflection on the fiction of tropical paradise, exoticization and colonial dismemory, questioning what is established and naturalized, what is apparently innocuous and is part of a system, a conformity between two parties, an avenencia [agreement].
