Antonio is a man who has tried to rebuild himself after going through the experience of psychosis and social stigma. His face and voice confront the viewer through his dignity, courage, and life experience. Antonio's presence challanges viewers' defenses with the violence, tenderness, lucidity, and madness of a true deserter.
