David Ortiz Juan lives and works between Barcelona and Mexico City. He has completed a master's degree at the Sandberg Instituut of the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, and the Bar Tool training program at Bar Project in Barcelona. He has done a long-term resident in Hangar, Barcelona.

He has shown his work in centers, galleries and events such as Salón ACME (Mexico City), Center del Carme (Valencia), Fabra i Coats (Barcelona), Cairo Video Festival (Cairo), The State Darwin Museum (Moscow), La Situation 2016 (Cuenca), MOTI museum (Eindhoven), Galerie Juliètte Jongma (Amsterdam), Tien Tien Circle (Taipei), and Espai Rambleta (Valencia), among others.
