Raúl Bajo Ibáñez (Madrid, 1970) holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid and completed a residency at the International Museum of Electrography in Cuenca. Throughout his career, he has combined audiovisual creation with teaching, giving photography classes at public art schools in Madrid. His work has focused on video art as a critique of the representational systems of mass media, exploring the conditions under which solitude, war, and injustice manifest in contemporary societies. He often draws on fragmentation and the appropriation of images taken from cinema or television in order to construct alternative narratives.

His work, developed from the early 1990s to the present, has been exhibited and awarded in numerous presentations, exhibitions, meetings, and audiovisual festivals, both nationally and internationally.
