Les voyageurs is a collective and first person narration of a group of travellers eagerly awaiting the 'boza', the crossing to Europe from Morocco. Despite successive failed attempts, and through the lens of the camera and the power of music, they keep their hope of making the crossing alive. At Visions du Réel, it received the Special Jury Prize and has since been touring the world and collecting awards.
David Bingong was born in Douala (Cameroon, 1988). A great lover of the stage, he participates in theatre productions as both a director and an actor. He lives in Madrid, where he completed his first feature film, Les Voyageurs (2025), shot between 2013 and 2015 while travelling through Africa on his way to Europe, and produced between 2021 and 2025 alongside filmmaker Irene Gutiérrez, with the support of Hamaca's Contrapicada production grant.
You must watch Les Voyageurs! We must engrave in our hearts, and never forget the stories of the people who are breaking the racist and imperialist paradigms of Europe, of the 'West' and of the world!
