Session #6 of ¡Pasar la tarde! Pelis y ocurrencias
Monthly Program of workshop-meetings at marcablanca (Madrid)

El mundo del arte... (Felix Pérez-Hita, 2013) is a piece of irreverent humour - the shortest in the program - that critiques the state of the art world. An artist writes on a canvas in his studio, creating an updated image of the romantic artist. These images are based on a cartoon by Miguel Bireva for his magazine Dinero.
Félix Pérez-Hita is a director, screenwriter and video editor. He has written and directed, with Andrés Hispano, about twenty episodes of Soy Cámara (a CCCB program) for TVE2. In 2012, together with Arturo Bastón, he co-created the Hilomental project of videological sessions. Félix has also coordinated, written and directed numerous experimental programs for Catalonia television stations.
Happening → We''ll release our frustrations by painting - much like in the film - an insult or a complaint to the world. This will be a session of expression and conversation filled with humour, irony and sarcasm, from which each participant will leave with their own custom painting.
Location: marcablanca. C/ Manuel Noya12, Madrid.
Date and time: 17 February, 19:00 h
marcablanca is a space of resistance, reflection and editorial publishing in the heart of Madrid. It houses a community library and an experimental workshop dedicated to artistic research.
