Pasaia Bitartean is a filmic approach to the urban fabric of Pasaia, the municipality in which the main commercial port of Guipúzcoa is located. Its industrial and urban fabric grew and was structured around the activity of the port which, since the crisis of the 1970s and up to the present day, has been decreasing.

The starting point for the film is the architectural project that Jonander Agirre Mikelez carried out in 2013 under the same title. As a result of the search for other methodologies to think about the city and its common spaces, the idea of articulating this project in cinematographic code arose.

The film pursues the appreciation of the present of Pasaia and, at the same time, thinks of the city as a continent of memory. Work as a productive activity is contrasted with work as a museum activity; tourists passing through a decaying industry as part of the journey of a cruise ship; or hardcore bands that pick up the sonorous witness of that same industry are some of the elements through which this film captures the urban and industrial landscape of Pasaia.
