Juan Pablo Ballester


Catalan artist with Cuban origin who also has been active as a curator and programmer. Regularly presents his work in personal exhibitions: Galería Marta Cevera, Madrid (1997), Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo (CAAC), Sevilla (2002); Gallery Tomás March, Valencia (2004), Museo Pablo Serrano, Zaragoza (2005).

He has been involved in curatorial projects such as Transgenéric @ s. Representations and experiences about gender, society and sexuality in contemporary Spanish art, Mitxelena, San Sebastian (1998), Inter / area, Palau de la Virreina, Barcelona (2001); Ofelias and Ulysses, 4 International Venice Biennale (2001) Fallen Heroes. Masculinity and Representation, Espai d'Art Contemporani de Castelló (EACC), (2002), New technology, new imagery, new picture.
