This humorous series of videos pays tribute to the old myth for which a lot of people held The Circus. It represented a dream, in which the everyday life of those who were part of it seemed in a state of a permanent exchange, traveling around the whole country, a whole group of eccentric and exciting characters living together and creating amazing routines for the public’s delight... and so the dreamers who in small villages felt their creativity had been stifled and saw little chance of ever escaping their own lives, thought of the circus as the saviour who would one day come by and save them from their lives, pick them up and take them away to “succeed around the world”. Campanilla roleplays achieving her dream. Since the circus doesn’t come, she creates it with what she finds within her reach: her home, her video camera, an old tape, some carnival costumes; and with all of it, there it is, The domestic circus. Please come in and enjoy.
