On the internet we can find videos of paradisiacal beaches, perhaps from the Caribbean or tropical Asia. You can hear the crashing of the waves in a constant flow. It is a sea that has no sand, no water, no wind, no sea, or any sea. These videos show the longing to go to the sea, in all its dimensions: to go on holiday, to go on a trip, but also to go to the mental and metaphysical space that a video of the sea represents.
In Seasteading Juan David Galindo explores videos of beaches and their relationship with sleep and insomnia, semiotic overproduction and the saturation of stimuli.
