Everything is possible when facing a white sheet of paper. All kinds of stories can be told. Full Blanc allows us to follow a number of characters within a structure that goes beyond conventional narrative. It is an excellent example of the type of independent cinema being produced in Spain during the last years of Francoism.

In this piece Muntaner incorporates different creative systems: the book, writing and reading, the drawing, the cinema... Different languages gradually appear (Catalan, Spanish, French, English) along the almost 40 minutes that the piece lasts. Thematically, the video explores the nature of our feelings, the impossibility of explaining what goes on in our heads, our relationship to politics and our day-to-day life.

On screen we see a young woman. We see her in the morning, and the way in which she relates to others. We hear her opinions about the act of thinking, and we walk with her as she heads towards to sea. We are witness to her doubts while she rides in the Barcelona underground. We listen to her music over the constant background sound of the official radio transmissions informing about the dictator. These are all different fragments that don’t necessarily follow a logical sequence.

Other characters appear on screen: a man writing notes in a cafe, two girls going to school who have just seen 2001, Space Odyssey in the cinema, a woman who works in a bar... elements that almost touch each other within the peculiar fabric of a society which is being defined slowly and gradually.
