Ralf & Jeannette is the title of the performance that Bestué-Vives made in Saint Valantine’s Day in 2010 in Times Square, New York. Two actors that have never met before, following a preestablished script (that could be followed live in the screens of MTV by through subtitles), look for each other among the people, they find themselves and represent a love story. They go through all phases, in ten minutes time, and finally each one follows it’s own way.
Creative Time invited the artists to develop a piece that had place between 44th and 45th street with Times Square. The actress, Jeanette, was wearing a Leia Princess suit and distributed flyers for a Broadway show; and he, Ralf, was dressed up as an executive with a coffee in his hand. The story starts when, accidentally, they come across in the street and he spills his coffee over her. They go through diverse stages of the relationship until they arrive to the breakup and separate.
Both posters belong to romantic films that have New York as stage and Bestué-Vives have manipulate it to transform them into posters for his performance.
