Uncertain tracking of the lines of communication traced by maps, icons and broadcasting media. The airplane is both key and an element of danger, as Palmeiro warns us in this piece. Without a structured narrative and using both the encounters and the juxtapositions of images recorded by the artist, in this piece, Palmeiro assembles a subjective map, across which travel the planes captured by his camera, interpolating seemingly anarchic fragments. This audio and visual deconstruction begins with a text and with the broadcast enumeration of the words in the title. Instructions in English, based on an erratic exploration of tailoring patterns, are heard. Codified numbers are explored with a flashlight over the radio dial. After the tailoring maps, we are shown satellite images of Spain, altered by various radio voices, and road maps of the USA. Over the sound of the radio, we see a drawing of a hand, at the same time that, in Spanish, references to elections are heard. The artist then offers us images of press ads for dogs and clothes, and the radio goes to French and then to Portuguese. A last image of an eye in an ad for a psychic is shown to the sound of a drumroll. A plane flies by and the title of the piece is paraphrased on the radio. A fixed image, over the background sound of a newscast, shows a bullet. Different shots of planes, as they fly above the camera, with their original sound, slowly create a sound composition with the noises. It gets faster and faster until it reaches the orgasm of a plane’s scratch (in both image and sound). Emergency sirens, another plane flies by and is followed by the camera until it drops to the floor. A chaos of repetitions, signs from different types of communication, disorders and various bricolages where the sound is intimately linked to the image in its deliria.
